SPRING INTO SEPTEMBER!!
Big northerlies were the predominant pattern of this month. It pushed the water temps up. And drove the tuna into the bay. When we can get out to them the feeding has been aggressive, and the surface bite has at times been mind blowing! Not much can beat the sight of a pelagic leaping to strike the lure, and then coming back repeatedly for the kill if they miss. Check this video out: http://vimeo.com/76137927
The usual suspects have still been caught on deeper patterns too, and the snapper are still lingering.
Mackerel should be the next arrivals, and we eagerly anticipate these tasty schools that also like to surface feed.
October OOHsome!
We witnessed some big pelagic activity in October. Mackerel put food on the table, and tuna kept us entertained. The usual fish caught deep as well for a bit of variety in the day. Marlin are starting to show, and could lead into another cracker season.

November - northerlies!! :(
Some fairly ordinary weather this month, but I did manage to fulfill most bookings.
The fishing remains pretty good too. Spotties have faded a bit, and school mackerel have been a problem whilst deep jigging for goldens and queenies. Mack tuna have been the key species, until the good numbers of goldens started to show up. Hopefully good numbers of goldens will find their way onto the flats ASAP!
Long tails have been sporadic, but you can often find a group here and there to have a shot at. Just be sure you are switched-on and make the most of your opportunity. Same goes with marlin, a few lookers, but not too many hookers, and not one boater (atleast aboard "MOFO").
The only other species worth mentioning, SHARKS!!! Some devastating losses to them have made some possibly unbelievable sessions, into frustrating and expensive ones. And feel for the people that fish hard all day for one or two solid hook ups, then suddenly feel the line go limp! Heartbreaking...
